ISC Innovators Chairman Tunku Dato' Kamil is the grandson of Malaysia’s first king. He earned diplomas (OND) in hotel and catering management, professional (HCIMA) hotel management and in marketing. In the summers, he trained and worked at two hotels in the U.K. and later graduated with an executive MBA from Boston University in the U.S.

Back in Malaysia, Tunku Dato' Kamil got involved in his diversified family organization, Melewar, and the early 80s saw him immersed in various businesses as group operations director. Following the acquisition of two publicly-listed companies in the mid 80's, he was appointed special projects director and oversaw several undertakings, covering different industries and disciplines. 

He has vast industry experience in hospitality, marketing and PR, construction and land development, travel and tourism, restaurants concepts, food and beverage concepts, transport, beverages and bottling but, more important, is able to network with local and federal government and government-linked organizations.

Currently, he spends his time evaluating new projects and finalizing plans to develop his vast beachfront land in Cherating, Pahang.

Tunku Dato’ Kamil sits on a number of his family’s Melewar Group boards as a non-independent non-executive director and is a member of the group’s risk management committee. He also is a board member of several other private limited companies and the past president of the Negeri Sembilan Cricket Association.
