Jennifer describes herself as a multi-passionate digital communications specialist with an editor's eye, a designer's touch, and a writer's heart. As ICOM's online manager, she brings to the team more than 10 years of professional experience in communications, marketing, design, editing, photography, and social media.

Jennifer studied journalism graphics at Ball State University, in Muncie, Indiana, and graduated in 2006. She has lived in many places since then—even a cruise ship for four months. She recently returned to live in the United States after spending five years working with World Press Photo in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She now calls Indianapolis, Indiana, home—though she still counts World Press Photo as a client, serving as the managing editor of their online publication, Witness.

In her free time, Jennifer’s favorite hobby is traveling with her family and friends. She hopes one day to have stepped foot on all the continents of the world—just two continents left on the list! When not traveling, Jennifer enjoys decorating/updating her home with her husband, going to trivia with friends, wine tastings and planning her next trip.

Professionally, Jennifer loves helping brands tell their stories. She looks forward to working with the many member agencies of ICOM to do just that.

The professional accomplishment I’m proudest of…is going freelance. I've worked very hard to establish the kind of work ethic and drive that would allow me to be an independent contractor and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to serve my clients.

The music in my headphones…is always something different than what you'd hear on the radio. I can always listen to my favorite Italian composer and pianist, Ludovico Einaudi.

A saying that inspires or guides me…"Keep it simple, stupid."

My hidden talent…I can remember the lyrics to almost every song I've ever heard.

A sport…I love to run and do yoga. I've also adopted the sports teams of almost every place I've lived. I cheer for the Indianapolis Colts (American football), the Nashville Predators (hockey), the Cincinnati Reds (baseball) and the Netherlands in the FIFA World Cup.

My ideal break…Any chance I get to see new places and spend time with loved ones is a vacation well spent in my book.

An event you absolutely must see in my country…The 4th of July! What can be better than warm weather, BBQ and fireworks?
